Seems to be a problem with replies to the New Format thread. We're all looking into it. As to the photos not displaying, can you give me an example of the problem? Thanks.

Hello Don You can go to My Stuff and click on Edit Preferences and then scroll down to Your Style Preference, then change to GDC custom and it will go back to familiar/previous style. Ron

Hello Don Not sure then. I had the same issue on the ring forum until last evening then started working fine. I wonder if is just the forum getting up to speed again and then it may work. When it was doing that to me some pic in the thread would show and others would have the jpg location and I would have to click that to see it. Ron

Looks like we either have some busted links or the photos were linked from another site and have been removed. I'll check into it.

I checked a few of the other forums and they are working fine. The Medals & Badges of the Third Reich Forum is not. I see an occasional image but most are not showing. Can not scroll from page 1- the next within a topic. I get a flash and a white screen. Deleted cookies and logged back in no change.
Appreciate all your efforts Vern.

Resolved in the new forum. This problem was caused by some bad code inserted in the forum software config.inc file attempting to clean up after the hack.

I am having that problem also. Each time I go to another site and then return to GDC, I have to log in each time.

Not as simple as it appears. Basically, when logging in, clicking "Remember Me" on the log in screen sets a cookie to your browser. When you leave and come back, the browser sends the cookie back to the site to bypass the login. Possible problems are the site not sending a cookie, the browser not accepting the cookie, or the cookie expiring. I'm going through to make sure the site both sends and accepts cookies from the browsers. Should finish checking soon

I was having the same problem. In FireFox under "Tools" - "Options" - "Security" - "Saved Passwords" - "Exceptions", the phpstack-500133-1583587.cloudwaysapps.com was listed as a site to not save the login name and password. After removing the site address and logging in again, FireFox saved the login information. While I still have to go to the login screen, the name and password are filled in so I just have to click "Login" to be on the site. I'm reviewing the php code for cookie processing now.

The forum wizard pointed out that the cookie issue was being caused by a mismatch url in our config file. The url has been corrected, I closed the forum, logged back in, closed it again, and when I came back, I was still logged in. You may need to close the forum and log back in to get a good cookie

Hey, we fix 'em as we find 'em Looks like we are missing a few avatar files. Those will probably have to be reloaded by the members.

Acting up again:( Every time I log in and then go to visit another site and come back to GDC, I have to log in again. Is this going to be the norm?

Actually that has been fixed on the forum side. Go to your profile on the forum (click the little arrow by your name in the upper right corner) and click on "Expire cookies". In your browser, clear cookies for the forum. Log out, then log back in and click on "Remember Me". That should cure the problem.

Yes, I tried that a few times it still does it. I am not experiencing it with other forums.

Anyone else having this problem? Am I just going to have to live with it (log in each time) when I visit the forum?

Vern I have tried everything. I changed passwords and started over, cleared cookies, waited to log in and it stills does it. I have everything set in IE11 to remember and my 3 other forums I visit all work. I don't have to re log in each time I visit them. If this is going to be the norm for me, I guess I wil have to get use to it.

Vern & Dave,
Great work getting things up & running again!
I've been able to fix the log in issues discussed above but can't seem to get an avatar to properly reload. Not a huge issue by any means but anything different I should be doing? Thanks guys

It works fine in IE on my PC. I send an email to an expert for his suggestions but haven't heard back. Sorry for not replying sooner.
