Hello spitfire let me also welcome you to the forum. To my best information the forum will soon be corrected -new software-? In the meantime avoid any apostrophe or quotation marks or such special characters.
@Mike I try to post a pic myself see if it works. Regards

@ Mike, my pic does appear. Although you are quite familiar did you try perhaps a too large pic? Regards,

Welcome spitfire if you are having trouble posting comments contact Vern or Dave but mine still does not work well so I just omit any punctuation and it seems to work If anyone knows why i cannot post photos even as jpg please let me know Hi again, I hope you can see this post. Thanks for your welcomes and advice about omitting punctuation. It is harder than you would think. Wotan used periods in his messages above, which seems to be OK. I have collected Third Reich rings for years but only just joined the GD Forum. I have been a member of the WRF Third Reich Ring Forum for several years and recognise a few of the names here. Perhaps you will recognise me too. I have around 100 rings in my collection but have not purchased much recently for a couple of reasons. First, I think that most of the nice authentic rings (those well-known, mass-produced rings that we all know so well, as well as less common, often privately produced designs) have disappeared into collections. Second, there are so many fake/fantasy rings and post-war replicas that it is increasingly difficult to find originals that I would want to own or new finds that I trust. Regardless, there seems to be a lot of expertise and enthusiasm here and I look forward to participating and learning from you guys. Thanks again for your welcome.

I had a question. Although this is a forum for Honor Rings, it seems to be OK to post other types of rings for discussion. Is that right?

Spitfire,, yes welcome to the forum.. You have come to the absolute best forum for any type of military blades.. AND, we have some other excellent forums too so look around.. The Honor Ring forum is open to anything HR related. The rings of course, boxes, award documents, photos in wear, related documentation. And since the HRs don't grow on trees we have many Private Purchase rings that we almost all collect and specialize in. Also the Campaign, hand carved type like the DAK ring etc. Cufflinks, watch fobs, stic pins, broochs, bracelets and all related as the HR, boxes, docs, photos, advertisements etc. so have a look at all the back pages. There's like 70 back pages and plenty on nice rings to see and much to learn. We're the oldest ring forum out there. and have a large international membership. Many of us know each other for years and while sometimes the discussions might seem to be heated its just passion. There is though something we all hate,,,the rip off artist and we do our best to stop his wares from wasting our members hard earned money. So kick back,,get to know the site and look forward to see some of your collection or adding to our old topics! , Gaspare
