Have you guys seen this very rare dagger:

http://www.wwiidaggers.com/39185.htm

Pricey, I know but think about the rarity and the history of this one compared to the Honour SA dagger.

Amazing.

I will say Wittmann has set the bar for quality pictures. Amazing pictures he now posts for his new dagger sales.

Paul, with all the promises from Hollywood types they would move up next to you, according to Canada only 28 people total have applied for Trump amnesty.

Maybe, we can do a trade, eh? Our two Justins (Bieber and Trudeau) for all the Hollywood types that you can fit into a green powered 747?

What a deal!

Please re-read our rules.

Then, please tell me exactly what you mean by your post above.

Ryan,

That dagger was the best of those I have seen. I am not sure what Schwarz had in mind, but unless he answers in the next few days ....

Its comments that the man makes that make me wonder why they are members here? Maybe he should inform us of the intent BEFORE making such a questionable comment

The ignorance becomes a big problem in our wonderful hobby!

Before people kept quiet at the forums when they were new, but now they immediately are judging things they don't know anything about.. like in this case.

On our GDC-forum this remains under control, because there is Dave, the moderators and some senior members with knowledge.
But on other forums the newbies are ruling and running the show!
I recently witnessed a couple of cases like this on WAF... very sad it is!

Best regards,

Herman

as an aside I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation yesterday to visit the home of Paul Hogle "Lakesidetrader" I want to thank Paul for graciously allowing both my son and I to view his outstanding inventory. His Christmas SA honor dagger was beautiful and a treat to hold. Thanks Paul cheers and regards, Ryan

Links become dead, which is so often the case. Therefore the whole discussion became invalid.
Knowledge and thoughts of members became senseless.

The problem is a well known fact.

Although I do not appreciate other forums I do know that because just of the mentioned reason it is forbidden to post links there. Why not here?

I talked with Vern.

Neither he nor I like links very much but we see them as necessary evils. They are good for a quick opinion on things like an auction. Also good for informing others where there are a lot of copyrighted images.

So for the moment, we'll not forbid them.

I'll try to get some photos of that dagger from TW.

Hello Dave, thank you very much for taking care!
I personally would have highly suggested to prohibit any linked photographs.
Links are ok when the source shall be pointed out but the certain photographs in such link should also be obligatory indelibly connected with the forum by download.
The energy, the knowledge and the efforts of our replying members are for nothing, the sense of the forum as a work of reference is gone once a link is dead.
This thread is a paradigm. It is next to impossible to get photographs always afterwards when a link is down so why not place them already when opening a thread, by the starter himself?
Just my personal experience and thoughts.
Naturally I do accept what the forum owners do decide.
Regards,

PS.: BTW, as we see, the disappearing-contribution-thing is still not solved.
