My sister just brought down my 10 cent slot machine. I located it 5 miles from her house in Washington and figured god was telling me to buy it.
So that completes my piggy banks. When you come home from work and you have change in your pocket that you throw in a jar, or you can put the change in one of 4 piggy banks. from left, 1934 Watling Roll a top, nickel machine. nest is the Mills QT, this was for doctors offices and is a 1 cent machine. The Mills 1945 black cherry dime machine and finally the Mills Jewell Bell "High Top" quarter machine.
A nice way to relax after work.
By the way, the cost of all 4 was 4 daggers.

In the US it goes State by State. Mine are mechanical so they are legal in California. I know there is a list of states where they are not.. If they have a plug and electronics they are not legal in California.
Of interest, while I was checking machines I noted the British currency machines bring a premium in the States.
They are also a natural for dagger collectors. There are originals, parts machines, and fantasy machines. Good dealers and bad dealers.
But mainly, they are fun to play with.
The black cherry and the high top are two years apart, 1945, 1947, and have the same internal mechanism. Just different cabinets.

Every form of gambling\betting is legal in the UK, its just a bit of fun. Jim's 4 look fantastic to me, we do not get top many as fancy as that over here or at least not that I know of.

Thanks Mike! Came out of Hot Springs Arkansas, back in those days the mob was running a lot of gambling halls and the local Police was on the payroll as well as many City Officials. The only gambling allowed there now is Oaklawn Park Horse Racing.

The key is to buy one that works. The manuals for repair and maintenance are available and they need to be oiled and lubricated about once every 25 years. I have a Jennings 1946 Club Special silver dollar machine coming next.

Thanks Gaspare! It was in working condition when I bought it and pays out correctly too. The Indian on the front was missing but I was able to find a replacement for it. I absolutely love it, always wanted an Antique one. I have a modern slot with all the lights and sounds but I like the old ones better.
