Please help to identify this ring
Seems to have a wreath with a hammer and sickle at the top
Perhaps the number 44 or possibly the Cyrillic letters Che Che
Inside it is engraved with C C and a date either 13 or 15 as the day
Month is 11 for November and 44 presumably for year
Small ring maybe mans USA size 8
Thank you

Mike,,, that looks like a 44 on the cartouche. And surrounded by oak leafs it appears..
Did you get this?
It looks hand carved [?] or is it a mass produced piece?

My eyes aren't what they were when I was younger, is there symbols before the 44 in the inside of the ring? Anything after? That would be the way to find out. If you post it on warrelics there are a lot of members who speak Russian who could probably decode the engraving. If you don't have an account there just pm me if you would like me to post it.

If the XI means 11, it could be November 15th 1944, there was a meeting between Stalin, and allied leaders that day, but that's probably a very long shot. I could just be a special day for whoever wore the ring.

No symbols other than the 44 in what would be a wreath of sorts
Engraving just says CC and
15 XI 44 and perhaps a g or an r after it I cannot tell
I would guess it is a date maybe a 13 and the XI means November
However when looking at Russian dates you must be careful
Their calendar is 13 days behind ours I believe so it could refer to the first or second of November in their time or the 28th of November in ours
I would be more optimistic if it was November 7 as this really was a big deal over there
Of course it was the 25 October but honestly this was the date of the October or communist revolution
We in the West think that bears no significance but I bet it did in 1944 and all years to maybe the early 1990s
Then one November the white confetti started flying in memory of the tsar please members read the whole story just google it
It is one of the most amazing stories of the 20th century hands down
I do not know what they did for the centennial of the revolution November 7 2017 but I cannot imagine it being a celebration of the revolution
If I were Vladimir Putin I would squash that idea and maybe think about a celebration of November 1941 or 44 as this was a very nationalistic time that really could still be recognized without the mention of communism or Stalin that name became verboten with the denouncing of him by Khrushchev in 56 I love Eastern history guys as if you cannot tell now lol

Interesting, are any members here from Russia? If not there are a few on warrelics. Maybe the other forums too, I tend to like war relics the best though, less drama.
