The board is for a 1st lieutenant and the cog wheel I believe has to do with Corps of Engineer officers. The black waffenfarb is for Engineers. Not sure what the secondary waffenfarb green is, I think it's Administrative.

If that green is true (as a colour on my monitor..) then it is definitely not Wehrmacht.

Hmm..not my area, but i would take an educated guess that with the black underlay, it is SS/police related..in what capacity I am not sure. The green is closer to what is seen in many police items.
I would post this in the police forum and see what they say.

I think your shoulder board is a KM officer of Engineers of Oberleutnant rank assigned to the Coastal Artillery . Dark blue Navy underlayment atop green . Regards , Bernd .

hi bernd,,thanks for your reply,,i looked at the board under natural sun light and the secondary waffenfarbe is definitely black, not dark blue,,i guess the KM could have used black on very dark blue uniform cloth, but still i am not certain that this is an not SS item or SS-police,,,any more guesses??,,thanks,,,Robert

Perhaps we just don't see that many admins coming from the engineers! If it is admin, they've used the wrong shade of green.
