Hi,
I am thinking of buying this Heer dagger by Rudolf Buchel Solingen Merscheide with the trade mark of a star with letters RBS. For the asking price it seems like a decent purchase and very tempting to me. There are problems with the grip but it doesn't really put me off (but should it?)The crossguard from what I've learnt so far is late generic A type, not sure about the grip being celluloid either it looks to me like the Galilith (not sure about the spelling? but the milk product derivative?) also is this maker quite rare on a Heer dagger. what do you guys think of it should I go for it or give it a miss, what would you do? This is a link to the dagger:

The Old Brigade

Thanks, Andy.
