I was on vacation last week and there were a bunch of antique stores around the town. One had some old books in the back. Well this one not so old,,2002,,but sure interesting! :

check these out,,pretty dam close!

the book has sections on everything,,all types of glass,Porcelain,stoneware, decals, and of course our beloved silver.

,,,this interesting. For us in the USA they are mentioning that when 925 is seen its usually a fake... I'm thinking that maybe yes some could be fakes,,,but maybe some are dual marked for Export sales.

So,,when you guys think about our rings that once we see a hallmark we are on our way to a authentic ring.. Well forget it. Either cast in or stamped in hallmarks don't make it 100% !

I go in to some false hallmarks in my project. Some are really good so they will be included in my book for comparisons.


So its a small book, 304 pages, softcover, many photos and illustrations, originally $24.99 [I paid $6. for it] , I recommend the book . IF you run across a copy grab it, you won't be sorry.
