Picked up this matching bayonet,it has 218 waffenampts,bayonet is pretty nice scabbard and frog not so good,dents in scabbard and frog rough,probably came back from ww2 like this?a block early 37?Grips are not numbered but have the 218 waffs.

Thanks for the reply Andy,I wasnt sure if the waA218 marking was correct,the grips were numbered on some early bayonets I have had,didnt know if these should be.Is this a real common maker,any idea of value?

S/185 is the early code for Elite-Diamantwerk, not the most prolific maker but not the scarcest either. That's a nice one too. Well done.
