I need some input on this, I will be traveling to Southeast Asia in the near future, and according to some sources there, I have an opportunity to acquire a sword but Im not sure what it actually is. My question " Would there be a problem packing it in my luggage, or should I try to mail it home in the ever trusting postal system. Does anyone on the Japanese forum know what restrictions there are or what laws there are in removing an item like this? I dont want to wind up in jail if it is against the law and I dont want to find out the hard way at the airport. All input welcome concerning Asian international and local laws.
