I collect antique keys and at a flea market last week i happened upon a coffee can of keys asked the seller how much for all of them he said 5 bucks, sorting through them found 2 dog tags i need help deciphering the abbreviations

What does the B'S' TH and the other tag BLK It seems both men were in 12th calvary

Cool tags! Looks like 12th cavalry K (?) battalion I troop, the other may also be 12th or 2nd cav- can't tell- maybe 8th battalion? Best I can tell...

WOW, pre WW1 tags! Not something you see a lot of!,,good condition too.
Yeah name, town/city you were mobilized from [I think] and unit.. I tried with a WW2 abbv book,,nothing concrete.. Keep searching the net,,you will find something.. Please let us know your results..

From the 12th CAV. web page "August 1921 Troops I,K,L and M of the 3rd Squadron were disbanded." The 12th didn't serve in WWI and I suspect when the unit disbanded the troopers received new tags then and these were kept as mementos.
