Hi gents,
Is it safe to use mineral oil to re-hydrate ivory handles?

Yes, use a white dye free cloth and pure (colorless) mineral oil. You can wipe it down over several days until it stops absorbing the oil or soak the cloth, wrap it around the handle, and leave it for 8 to 10 hours. Use a clean cloth to rub it down afterwards.
