This blade is not damascus but artificial damascus.

I would be curious why such a prominently marked, extra cost item by Eickhorn would exhibit parts from another competing manufacturer.

Typcally, we should "never say never", however I am generally skeptical about such items & the mix of parts makes me even more so.

Also, Billy, artificial Damascus is an etched pattern that should be the same on all such blades made by Eickhorn. I have an artificial Damascus Heer that shows an etch pattern pretty much different from the one shown here. I doubt that the Carl Eickhorn firm would have two very different etch patterns for such a rarely ordered special pattern.

As already hinted at by Billy and Johnny Z., the dagger you show is a well known postwar large rosebud acid etched fake blade, incorporated with period made parts from other makers.
