Here are two knives which I got at a SOS show.
First is pretty rare maker with engraved pommel
The second one is something I have never seen.
It looks like fighting knife but it is much smaller then regular knife or HJ knife, see picture with size comparison.
What do you guys think ?
Thanks

Cool finds from the SOS Ivan cool

Personalised early Backhaus hj has lots of character,

Small fighting knife is interesting & well made, maybe from the 1920s Weimar period or WW1 private purchase knife ?, never seen this type before.

Hi Ivan,

Yes, 2 great finds you got!

The regular HJ by Backhaus is very tough to find.

And the smaller blade is just a "never seen before": some would call it an early DJ, but I prefer to call it a small size fighting knife (agree with Scott!)...
Anyway any factory bowie blade is a rare find, certainly the smaller sized versions.

Congratulations!

Herman
