The bayonet is Mannlicher M1895 for rifle, unfortunally a post WW2 reworks by Bulgaria, new grips, replaced crossguard and refurbished scabbard, the crown W /16 or 17 was for Wilhelm, but the equipment was shiped to Bulgaria as arms help in WW1,it could be the inspector letter C in gothic font is there, so most real never used by Germans as they didnt have (greater ammounts) or produced ever a Mannlicher rifles.Nr.68 was electropenciled is for serial number of short rifle used with bayonet in Bulgaria. The scabbard is a normal austrian imperial proofed in Steyr, with repaired brazing of hook. b.r.Andy

Hook on scabbard is most real OE/WG marked for Steyr and above it is a austrian eagle, but the picture is blurry.b.r.Andy

Looking at it closely with a magnifying glass it seems that it puts OE / WG and above a number 4 or maybe the number 14, I could not say for sure.

CLeaning of the area and better makro detail would help, but i personally preffer there is a austrian doubble headed eagle possible upside down oriented. Serials of scabbards of this type is not obvious, only romanian M93 were serialed, but not M95 type.b.r.Andy

That would be ideal, but unfortunately I do not have a good photographic equipment and I do not think I can get a good definition of that so tiny markings.

I had one of the little carbines this bayonet went on, Mannlicher M95. Great little gun but it would beat the living crap out of you...the straight pull action on the bolt is something to get used too....fun gun, but if you are a little guy (140 soaking wet)like me, you will only shoot three times and walk away....in other words, ammo lasts.
