There were yellow enamels I believe. I don't know enough about these in particular to make an opinion though- I don't own one. However, the band does look pretty thick especially at he top right of the cartouche. Could be good, or those could be red flags. Not sure, but I know some guys here have luft rings, maybe they can shed some more light on it.

I didn't like it myself after searching the forum for original ones but I wanted to see what you guys thought just to be sure. Ring collecting is already getting addictive.

I think mostly this ring was newe plated and got new enamel.
They exist in different colours. Yelloy, red, black i have handled and i think period made were all colours of the Lutwaffe.

OK no rings here but have you EVER seen such magnificent film recording of the full LW uniform in full regalia AND of the Ace of Aces to boot?! What a treat... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMCMzejE9l4PS actually I take that straight back, if you look close they BOTH wear rings on their left, maybe someone here can make them out? :-)

Hey Mark- great link! Thanks for posting it! It's tough to make out, but certainly wearing something! Could be a pilots ring or a monogrammed signet, those were popular- maybe something else! Looks too large to be a wedding band, but that's the tough part with rings- they didn't really photograph them too much, unfortunately! (Of course I met a dealer at a gun show yesterday who said they did especially the fakes he was selling- all owned by Ss officers, of course!! Lol!) in those spots guys- here's your best response- (and nothing else)..."Thank you sir, for letting me look at your_____ (ring, badge, knife, etc)." Then LEAVE... lol!

Yeah: 'That's interesting! Heck, is THAT the time...' But what a magnificent uniform, eh? And the Golden Oakleaves with swords and diamonds to the Knight's Cross!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnxGM0fWUKE
