This ring has been fine tuned from that originally bought from Hapur.

thanks militarymania. It is no way an exact replica of the real rings, but serves as a daily beater for wear.

IMO You did a nice job of reshaping the skull. I snt hapur some images of skulls from original rings that I think are improvments over his revised skull so lets see what happens.
BTW: A chlorene solution bath and then a highlighted buff would take the harshness off your reworked example.

i had to refine these by hand and was quite time consuming to undertake. i would prefer to retain the shine. no idea how the chlorine bath will turn the rings out. Do you have some before and after photos?

I also have one of hapur's rings and I like it very much. I think you took a little too much off the top of the skull, but if you like it that's what the fun is. Hapur is a nice guy and a very skilled craftsman. I am grateful he posted on this forum and sells his ring so reasonably.

Just this "After" photo with I've posted previously. If you go to the thread where hapur shows the rings being made the example he uses is mine so there are some "Before" pictures.

The one that I received did not have a pronounced pig nose. The skullbones were also too large and I had them re-made smaller. The skull was also reduced. I felt the original piece had a too squarish look. Just my opinion. After all this is a hobby.

Most importantly - we are all enjoying it and making friendship.

yea, the skull literally makes or breaks a repo ring in my opinion. Hapur, i have doezens of photos of orignal rings i have collected over the years if you want them.

Yes, if you have some free minute send them to me [email protected]
I'll try to make some better.

There are less original rings than you think, much less...
