yeah,,Dave..in my town right this moment there are approx. 600 houses being lifted exactly like this!
Our problem is,, We have a single story home. Yhe house sits on a 4 inch slab of concrete. There is no root cellar, no basement, no crawl space. The house simply sits on this slab and it attached with straps at bottom.. The concrete is cracked, crumbly etc. It can not be lifted. To saw the structure away from the cracked up slab while leaving the most important part at bottom to be demoed doesn't make sense. The engineers/Architects did a 'Feasibility report' =
It is most cost wise better to demo my house,,put in some piles, and build my exact house but with a one car garage underneath. Because of the scope of the work they are doing the simple lifts first and projects like ours last. I can not complain too much,,90% of the cost will be a grant. So a week ago it will be 4 years,,,they tell me my time is short, hopefully this year 2017.. Lets pray so,,,at least hurricane season is now over!
BUT,,Dave,, where is our buddy Rick?
