Hi I have a numbers matching 1937 Portuguese Mauser that I aquired a couple years ago from a vet. I have taken the rifle all the way down and all the numbers match. The bore is also in great shape.I was told number matching 98K are worth alot. How much do you think this would run? It has the waffen stamps all over it and also on the stock.

We'd have to see photos. The condition has everything to do with the value. I'm taking a wild stab and saying if the rifle is average VG condition maybe $500. It could go several hundred less or several hundred more depending upon condition.

Very, very nice rifle. Military Firearms 3rd Edtion lists them for $400 but at gunshows in my area they have been going for about $600, but in your rifle's condition the price is going to continue going up.
