I would not bet on this being real.

I have seen 2 of these Doenitz presentation KM daggers brought into the MAX show and neither was judged to be real by the dealers. Why an Imperial cross guard on a later presentation dagger.

As you said, no returns and only 4 pics.

I would bet this IS NOT period!
WEYERSBERG did not produce them, on originals the grip has different features, the scabbard has different features, the blade has different features, the crossguatd differs, all in all a really laughable attempt.

Thanks you so much for your comments Gents. I better stay away from it. Hope bidders realized and only pay for the price of all reproduction parts. Much appreciated, Will

It appears that parts of a Feldherrnhalle dagger peeping thru at the top of the pic.

Two incrediablly rare daggers at once, I think not!

The no return is a double stinker.

I'd bid $1.00

Sorry, I have to disagree. Its no FHH dagger but the comparable even rarer SA "eagles head crossguard" honor dagger from which several fakes currently buzz around (even at big dealers sites)...

Regards,

A very good observation - it looks to me also from what I can see that it's one of James Atwood's "SA Birdshead" daggers, or a copy of same. Totally bogus including the fake supposedly factory documentation that he (or his associate) created to back up the dagger. Could they both be Atwood fakes?? Best Regards, Fred
