I would like to see better shots of the grip plates, the pommel etch and the weird wide eagle.

So far, there is nothing that I like.

The pommmel emblem does look like one of the typikal fake ones which are not done in the proper way.

The pictures are not great but I don't like what I see so far, poor quality of that eagle & what's up with that mortise key?

Dear Robert, the obverse etch is nothing I have seen before in a Eickhorn etch. Plus the fact it is very lightly done. The pommel etch appears post war, although I haven't held enough to be an expert.

The rivets on the grip are way off and scream of being reworked. As Billy stated the mortise key is beaten up, not a good sign.

I would stay far away from this particular piece unless you want to be the last owner.

Best wishes,

Mat J

Robert,
Oh,come on guys, as all of you already know this one's a FAKE all the way. The inside eagle was NEVER an Eickhorn etch subject!
It ONLY belonged to Robert Klaas. So why bother with the balance of what the example is has or doesn't have on it. This is one of those pieces brought over in the late 50's
