hi chief in my opinion this trench knife was shop home made probly by soldier there is all different styles this one has an aluminum hilt nice this is my opinion have a nice day andy militarynut

Looks like brass to me. If it was alum. it wouldn't feel balanced.

Thanks guys. I think that the grip is aluminum. It was with a WWI collection, and I cannot find any markers marks on it. Chief

To me it looks more Australian WW2, especially with the aluminum handle. Wicked knife to be sure!

hi jerry yes this knife does resemble in a way to the rare to find austrailan made oss knife for our u.s troops the difference in the oss made one i have is the handle which is also the aluminum but is checkered cant miss this one pictured in coles military knife book. i will be selling mine with original leather war time scabard at this years max show along with a ww2 case pig sticker hope to see you guys there we should all bring our wallets filled to the top with bucks at the end of the show we will all be broke again with this sickness but happy hope you all agree see you guys at the show andy militarynut
