Here's something I picked up a while ago, an early Carl Wusthof Army, you don't see many of these.

Gary, THAT is a Heer I have searched far and wide for.. Blade looks great and what a beauty grip! Max show had some rare ones then, hate I wasn't there! I think I may have seen this one a few years ago too (heck there's only a few around!!) Congrats!! John, I may have asked you this before but is that a tapered tang blade on your luft? Best, Kevin.
It's ALL in the DETAILS!!.......

The Wüsthof slant is a beauty,my only concern is that it has a later Eickhorn pommel, most be replaced somewhere along the line. a Wüsthof with Klaas fittings is a first time for me, only saw them equiped with early generic 1 or 2, it has lovely Klaas hand enhancements on pommel rim, eagle & feathers.
Regards Ger

Gary,
Does that shoddy, cracked grip have Schraeger lines? Nice!

Gary, Indeed a beautiful ivory grip mated with Klaas fittings and enhancement.. I have seen another small maker (Christianswerk) using Klaas fittings so it could be plausible..HHMMmm quite interesting, lets see what others think! Best, Kevin.

I do not have a problem with this configuration, everything fits perfectly, it does have a tapered tang as all 3 of the Wustofs I have examined have had. Kevin, if you had this dagger in hand you'd love it, it's different than the others but thats just what makes this hobby so great, if your going to the Max I'll bring it along for you to study.

Kevin the only difference is that the Christianswerk with Klaas fittings does not have the Astrix on the scabbardbands. This one is exactly fitted like the Henckels that i own, completely Klaas fitted and Klaas hand enhanced with the astrix.....there are 2 options here: 1**both daggers have a swapped blade....or Wüsthof & Henckels both bought these completed fittings from Klaas Well Gents....who can tell? Best Ger
