Hi guys over the last 15 years I have picked up what I thought to be European hangers as I am a bit of a sucker for them ,also the odd dagger.I have now reached the stage where I focus in on all things npea/Napola.So I now need your help and expertise to identify these items and give me a rough price so I can pass them on to collectors in this field. First is what I believe to be a Yugoslavian dagger .? Thanks dippy

The bad news is that the dagger you show is a reproduction of the Hungarian River Forces dagger. Unless there is a Royal Yugoslav shield on the reverse of the blade.
As to the hangers, nothing jumps out at me as to identification so I will check some books. Hopefully some of our European members can comment further.

No 6 is the 1934 Bulgarian Police hangers. You are correct. The Dagger is a Hungarian River Forces Copy. There are many variations because when all the naval officers were released by Austria Hungary after WWI, they returned to their own countries Navies carrying their Austro/Hungarian Naval Daggers with the etch of the Hungarian Crest on one side and the Austrian Crest on the other. When they got to their own navies they continues to wear the dagger but often filed off the offending crest (s). So, you have the Hungarian.

Ted is correct about #1. It looks like A Royal Yugoslav Air Force Officers Dress Hanger. Probably one of only a handful to exist.

Dippy, Your dagger is 100% copy. I was just giving the history of the originals.
There are so few sales that I can not begin to tell you their values. Perhaps someone else.

For the most part, non German hangers sell for under $100. Closer to $50. A real rare one like the Yugo Air Force hangers would go for a premium to the right buyer, but yours is in such bad condition I would be surprised if you could get $100. Those prices are for the hangers we have been able to identify.

Hanger No 6 Bulgarian police model 1934 Hanger No 8 Bulgarian, Labor, late war period. БMK means Berch Manuk Kerestedjan , name of one of the biggest producer of daggers, hanger, belt buckle etc.
In order to share my suppositions for No 3, 5 and 10 I need better pictures.
Hanger No 5 could be Bulgarian army late war period. Hanger No 10 the straps look like Bulgarian also, but the buckles and hooks definitely are not Bulgarian.

Dear Diplo matt,
First I would like to tell you few words for the identified hangers:
1.- Police hangers are very rare. In Bulgaria, depending on their condition, we can buy for 140-220 levas - approximately 70-110 euros. From what can be seen from the pictures, your hangers are not in perfect condition and personally I would not pay more than 80 euros 2.- For the late Labors hanger, or what 's left of it, I am embarrassed to tell you the price. The hanger is completely ruined and other part it has gone. You need to find someone who is looking for spare parts and is ready to pay 5-6 euro or other price.
I have no idea about leather hangers Nr 1, 4 and 11.
I will try to share my personal honest opinion about the rest hangers.
I have a feeling that these hangers are pure compilation and not related to any country or period. Just someone has found a different stripes, buckles and hooks and has decided to make hangers.
1.- Hanger - the new attachment 3.
The ribbon is unknown to me. The problem is that missing the velvet back which makes it more difficult to identify the hanger.
2.- Hanger - the new attachment 5. The ribbon is unknown to me. Buckles and hooks most probably are Germans. Green velvet looks like wehrmacht dagger hanger style too. The stpars are not properlly attached to the buckle
will continue after football matches or most probably tomorrow.

New attachment Nr 9:
I do not think it's a hanger. The metal hook is from a naval hanger, but IMHO the rest not. I guessed shoulder strap ornament hat and whatever else but not the hanger.
