Interesting.

That maker is not known to have made SS daggers, so a very close examination of the blade is needed.

The grip? I would like to see more.

Imo very well made but not genuine.
This maker didn't made SS daggers.
Is the inscription made by laser or acid?
Post a very clean and detailed picture of the
inscription and makermark if you will please. Thx

just to note. In this hobby much information is learned as the hobby progresses. Many records were either destroyed or did not exist. Just because a maker of SS or other daggers is hereto unknown does not mean that they are not period or authentic....it merely means, in some cases that an example has not yet surfaced. The handle and blade look outstanding. I agree that one would need to determine etc or laser. From the photos the tang and the cross graining and the motto look good. I cant see billet clamp marks on the tang but my eyes aren't what they used to be and sometimes these marks were ground away. Have SS dagger blades surfaced on the repro market from this maker? Red flags? mint single blade and handle.....Does anyone have an SA with trademark for comparison? cheers, Ryan

There always the possibility of finding a new manufacturer. I remember getting the first known K&M dagger and it would be interesting if this is real.

That said, I am a little suspicious of great looking loose blades like this one. It is the first SS blade from that manufacturer that I have seen.

I think the grip is a recent fake. Unblemished surface looks painted. Eagle is aluminum from what I see so of a later era.

Who is selling these?

I am suspicious of course for the very reasons you mention.....but one would have expected to have seen these high end fakes offered or shown up elsewhere high production volume to justify so ?????
