Hi, show your full Rohm SA daggers here! I have seen a few recently that were in very nice condition! But, I wonder who has the very best conditioned one out there in the collector community today? I mean a non tampered with museum quality piece! Does such a dagger exist?

My advice is not to post pics of that type of daggers in the moment. To many fakes around and the "Fakers" snap up the pictures and make the copy better next time Just my opinions of the case. Stay alert LH

I seen that one Pat that Gailen David recently sold, it was a beauty! And that Eickhorn one that you have Eric is a mind blowing example also, does it have a bench number on the bottom crossguard?

yes it is stamped #4 It came out of an old collection several years ago. The photos really don't do it justice. I have been offered some big bucks for it but the problem is I really would have a hard time replacing it.

Hi Eric, thanks for the extra info on your dagger...it sure is sweet!! I will look Forward to seeing your F.Dick full Rohm Ron when you get back from the SOS! To me the Full Rohm daggers are so important as it marked a very important time in history when the SS murdered Rohm! And very few original full Rohms exist today, especially in the condition above!!

Not sure how "rare" these daggers are, IMO they are hard to find in nice condition. I have seen several beaters around in the past 5-6 years, but even they are getting hard to find.
Ron please share your opinion on " rarity" of theses daggers......

IMO, the SA Roehm Full Inscription Dagger is HIGHLY UNDER RATED! Over the years I have had less than a dozen and, when compared with the 50 or so M36 SS Chained pieces I have had, they are under priced and much more rare than the current market reflects. The real problem with these is the fact that there were many repros in the early years. At first they were crude and even some RZM marked pieces. Then we went through the Reddick Repro Blades, next it was the original blades with a Roehm Inscription added (to some SA makers that never made a Roehm model) and now the total repro blades. Once you have studied the originals (known and repros) and can identify the bad and ugly, it is not an impossible challenge to spot the phony as Pat will tell us. This, coupled with some of the condition problems of many of the originals, has limited the price potential when compared with the M36 SS Chain (many more near mint and mint pieces available when compared to the original SA Roehms) one can wonder what the true market price should really be??? I believe that when more and more collectors become more confortable with the SA Roehm (and maybe when Wittmann's SA Book hits the market) you will see a dramatic rise in prices, especially in the near mint to mint conditioned pieces. Ron,
Great point about the many fakes that are on the market. This fact IMO really hurts the value of the original daggers as potential buyers are scared off. When I first started this dagger was low on the list due the many pitfalls. BUT if you study the real deal and network with known experts you will be fine.
I can count one one hand the amount of original minty examples I have seen in 6 years.
Also IMO M36 daggers are not rare at all, just in high demand. (Owned 7-8) Only owned 1 full Rohm.

I am in MO at a gun show. Just bought 3 great Hunting Daggers from an old collection. One Damascus, one a gold Hunter with grip DJ Deer Head insignia and 35 to 31 Eickhorn TM (I'll post photos when I get back, and a neat Camo M40 SS Single Decal Helmet. So, can't get to the bank for a while yet. Ron

Serge,Thats very nice,Eickhorn made very nice daggers for sure.
Back in 1998 I had a chance to buy from Tom Johnson a Mint Pack for $4595.00 I still kick myself for not buying it. Now I think today the prices are just to high.

Sepp, I concur with Ron. These are truly hard to find. However if you hang around once in a while a good one will spring up at a fair price. Usually you have to hear it from a colleague. Thanks for the kind words. -serge-

Very nice Rohm, Serge ! These full Rohm SA's are very difficult to find in any conditions. Actually, the only ones that are pretty easy to find are those that are fake, and there's a lot around.
