A few years ago I was hitting local auctions looking for swords when this pennant came up. I had no idea what it was for but bid on it because it had a TR IC 1st Class and an NSKK Eagle pinned on it. There was also the US Collar Discs and GC ribbon that I left on. I've looked everywhere but have not found another. Anyone seen one? I know the '44 Maneuvers were cancelled due to the Normandy Invasion. So this may end up being more valuable than the IC that came with it.

Brian,
I think the Louisiana Maneuvers were in about 1940. Lots of horses and a few careers decided. The US Army at dawn, as it were.
1944? I have not heard of operations then.
Regards, Dave

Back when I bought it I found a reference to it stating the Maneuvers were cancelled for '44 due to the upcoming invasion of Europe. I can't find that sourcce today. I did find some photos taken at Louisiana Maneuvers Fort Polk, Louisiana 02/24/1944 - 03/25/1944. I may see if Ft Polk has a Historian. I also found pennants from 1940-43, none for '44. There were Maneuvers in TN & NC as well.
