Not sure why there's 2 dated (31/12/1939) postal cancellation markings and lines impressed without ink into the front right border.
Maybe a reject due to the lack of ink and no address.

Very impressive ! Thanks for showing. It looks like it was inside a postmarked mailed envelope.

Hi Jerry-
Good explanation on the inkless postal markings.
You're probably right, and as simple and logical as your theory is, I never considered that.
Thank you for the excellent input.

My original thinking was these dated stamps were intentionally placed there to commemorate the event of the new year as this art is geared toward this theme.

Honor temple card.
My guess.... A ceremony where the putsch martyr's coffins (you can see 7 of the 8, see red arrows) were waiting to be placed into the monument.
I think that's Hitler leading down the front steps and Grimminger with the blood flag on the temple's side.

Anniversary march wearing blood orders.
Reverse of postcard appears to have been mounted in a album.
Who's on the right of Hitler?

Below are scan of those 3"X4" B&W prints you see at shows. They are really more newspaper photos on glossy paper than real photos. Detail in poor, but subject is interesting

The is Freikorps "Oberland" marching

Here is an undated on titled SA marchers. Interesting assortment of hats. And the guy in the foreground has a plaid blanket over his shoulder

Meant on Hitler's left...My mistake.
Why the comment about NSKK leader and whats his name?
Those are fantastic photos you added Dave, Thanks.

Here's a small rally photo (Nurnberg?) that I'm trying to date also.
I think the individual with posted red arrow resembles Himmler. When enlarged you can see him and the ss officer in front carrying swords...blurred because of motion...so I can't tell if it's the 1936 model.

Dean,

The TR leaders were certainly a varied bunch. The NSKK leader is Adolf Hühnlein, a man said to be totally without humor, charm or intellect. An early member of the NSDAP, his only noted characteristic was personal loyalty to Hitler.Died in 1942. A car crash perhaps.

Your photo certainly looks like Nurnberg but I have not seen any of that march before.

I think the man to Hitlers left is Ulrich Graf, one-time personal bodyguard of Hitler.
I recognize some of the photos as coming from either 'Adolf Hitler' or 'Deutschland Erwache' photo books.

Another one with the work theme and scarce imo.

Showing reverse in case it has anything useful?
Looks to have been postmarked in Solingen and written/posted on Hitler's birthday.

Funeral procession or ceremony??
Any thoughts on what this horse drawn carriage flanked by blood order holders heading to the feldherrnhalle is about.
I thought it was interesting.
Unposted and printed text 'Der 9. November 1935 in Munchen' on reverse.

these last 3 cards are really nice!
Nov. 9th is the failed 1923 take over!,,is that the year printed/type set on the card or hand written printed? In 1939 Nov 9th is also the Nite of Broken Glass!!

That Luftgau IV card is that showing a painting? or a tapestry?

and the last one with Grimminger is really nice!

Hi Gaspare. Glad to see you've made a recovery.

The procession to the feldherrnhalle card has typeset text and from my understanding the luft card was a tapestry in the air ministry.

Here's a nice one imo.
According to an online translation something to do with slavery, but I've also read the meaning was along the lines of never kneeling again.

In need of translation.
Listed on back are the fallen martyr's names. The national colored border really sets it off imo.

hey you keep pulling out these really nice cards!! That's some deep well you got!! grin

The 'slavery' card is some real drama!

That entrance way eagle is really something! The building engineer and Architect really had there jobs on the line trying to get that thing supported! wink

Thanks for the comments. The additional ID's helped out a lot Tristan.

Gaspare, I'm not exacly sure that building even existed in reality. I know exactly what you mean, the entrance does seem massive and somewhat out of perspective.
Right on...that slavery/the kneeing is over card is simple and dramatic with that swaz and deco-like look. I wonder if it pre-dated 1933.

2 small photos to add. Guess they were taken from an building's upper level on Palm Sunday 1934. Must of been something to witness.
