we left NO after the devastation of Katrina- we are now in Lafayette which is about 160 mi west of NO. Mike

Dave, actually the food is better in Lafayette. Heavier influence of Cajun cooking, spices, excellent assortment of meats and sausages. I've been growing my own peppers for about the last 7 years- cayennes, habaneros, jalapenos, tiny pequinos- all the hot ones- Mike
