So first of all I am new to the forum so bare with me here as I am not an expert as some of you on here but 8 years ago a purchased a M40 SS single decal helmet and it's been sitting on my shelf over those years. Recently I was questioning if it's legit or not. I have my questions about it as I am assuming the liner is a repo but the shell looks legit. Here's a picture of the decal on the side. I am hoping this is real and not some fantasy concoction made to look real. If so, I've been had. It's a Q66 batch number 4949. Thanks in advance for any input....some reason I can't add the photo. I've sent the photos to jtwallace@sbcglobal.net so hopefully he can post them. The M40 is a Q66 batch 4949. The shell I believe is real but not sure on the decal, liner or anything else for that matter. Hopefully someone here can give some input.
