Just got around to seeing the Brad Pitt tanker movie 'FURY'... All I can say is freakkin WOW!!!
That is some production. All the equipment both Allied and Axis looked pretty good. Some really good scenes.
The scene when they go up against the German Tiger was really something. Our guys were seriously out gunned. A great movie,,highly recommend it. It's now on my all time top 10 military WW2 movie list!

The movie made me wince throughout, though it did have some good scenes and special effects.
Ending was ludicrous, was waiting for Clint Eastwood and Telly Savalas to ride in and mow down any Germans left standing - And the final touch, to have not 1 but 2 grenades explode inside the tank and Pitts hair wasn't even mussed up. Movie didn't seem to have much redeeming value to me, so unlike the 1960's and 70's classics that were written in the same vein [kill masses of dumb Nazis against all probable odds, rinse, repeat], I doubt if I'll ever watch it again because they at least were plot heavy and imaginative.
This one, I don't remember even grasping what the point of it was other than to make a war movie starring Brad Pitt.

I especially liked Pitts "interrogation" of the ss soldier... Something about "fat girls?"

He was trying, as a 40+++ year old, to play a staff Sgt who might have been 20-23 years old. Fail.

Best thing about the movie were the tanks. That Tiger from the Bovington Tank Museum is the only fully restored operational Tiger 1 in existence. Check out their website to see the restoration logs. Fantastic! The link is HERE!
