I like these. Each grip is different and many are artistic. I had one with a dragon on the grip. I have also seen exampes with cards for decorations.
This looks like a nice example.

These are WWII vintage. This was the 1st blue grip I've seen. Not really sure if the grip color is of significance... Jim do you know? Here's another:

These are Nationalist Chinese daggers from the time of Chang Kai-Shek. I think they produced them through 1948.
Your first one is a bit unusual because of the writing on the lower grip fitting. I do not know if you can have it interpreted.
All the grips I have seen are different. Many tailored to the maker or purchaser. I do not know if there is any significance to the green grip.
There is a version out decorated with the US flag that was produced for the American pilots flying in China. I forget the units name, but those daggers are rare and bring a premium.

I like these Nationalis China AF daggers a lot, unfortunately the prices rise dramatically in the last few years.
The first one with blue grip for me.

Here is the US decorated grip. Not the pilots dagger, but very rare. This one is on Ebay now.
