guys,, not to throw a wrench in,,,but..

I've had a few of these over the years. At a show I go to buy one. It was very cheap. I said that out loud,,the seller said,,'Oh my buddy makes them in his spare time for his reenactor friends!'

They are super simple to make. You can still buy the zigzag roller tool and hand gravers are everywhere.. IF you HAVE to have one try and not pay a fortune for them,,just my opinion and observation........

There are some Krim rings that are totally hand engraved.
But handworks are usual hard to impossible to date for sure.

please ,,don't let what I wrote keep you from getting one!..

They are good period rings out there.. With some study I
believe you can distinguish between old and new to a degree...

My opinion is just don't go paying hundreds of dollars/euros for one!

Very good group here, with a ton of knowledge! I'm honoured to be a part of it. It's a steep learning curve!
