I have only ever seen a few of this pattern from Eickhorn and all were unmarked, not sure why they would do that but that's the way they came, this one is listed as a "Salon-hirschfnger mit brauner Lederscheide", whilst not listed in the Kundendienst I'm sure this pattern was made all the way from the Imperial through to the 3rd reich period, it's listed in the 1932 Eickhorn catalogue.
Overall this one is in fine condition with just a little age to the blade though it's not bad at all, nice black fittings with a great grip, the leather scabbard is also very nice, it came with the original brown frog. You can always tell an Eickhorn, they were the only one's who used this style blade with the blood groove. Not often you'll see a sawback either.

These are very neat patterns. I like the blackened steel hunting knives. They are very businesslike with few frills. A very nice example Gary.

Gary,

Nice catch, you are making me jealous.

I see it listed in the Eickhorn Musterbuch der Waffenfabrick, along with a number of other styles of knives.

See you soon,

John
