it certainly looks like a japanese ww2 helmet to me missing the star also i know that it is not a japanese leather liner that belongs to this helmet shell it appears to me to be possibly hungarian ww2 or czeckoslovakian perhaps some one else has something different to say about this helmet hope this helps best andy militarynut

Japanese type 90 refitted postwar. The insignia outline/ ghost is from Siam

Thanks so much for looking at my helmet. I thought that the liner was wrong, and I did see the large outline on the front. You guys are the best!
