I wonder: are Original/Period WWII TK Rings an asset, ie will they actually increase in value over time? Allowing for inflation.

Some of you here, who have been in the game for a long time, can you remember the sort of price increase over say, the last 10, 20, even 30 years?

Id appreciate the info,
Thanks,
Mark

hi, rings bought from private collectors have a good chance of increasing in value over the years. mike

Hard to say.
I think the market is changing. Like in all collecting.
Of course you can earn some money sometimes, but also you can loose
a lot.
For me only hobby.

Also gotta account for the fakes and the hyper-inflated prices of a few years ago-- may have been a bubble. Prices come back it just takes a few years. Just my rookie opinion based on what I've seen so far.

My advice - don't buy any of this stuff for an investment!

Buy because you like it. its more fun tht way.. And, years later when and IF you sell and you can get more,,,,,then that's the iceing on the cake..

Yes the market was terrible about 5 years ago.. Rings seem to be unaffected to a degree! Things are picking up for all kinds of collectable but there is a long way to go!

There are more and better fakes out there.. And authentic rings are getting VERY hard to find! All authentic rings are 'rare'..

Gaspare hit the nail on the head perfectly- buy what u like- the rest is gravy. I have a couple non military rings just because I like them- and other things (like my budding collection of ber rare SS dog tags) smile
