The maker's mark looks OK to me. I've come across two distinct marks by CJ Krebs, this large mark & a smaller, more dainty mark within an oval. Neither are very often seen.

Your bayonet is pretty minty & certainly deserving of that tag. You don't come across examples this clean & cherry very often, congrats.

But you didn't tell me nothing about this bit uncommon combination of dress bayo frog and not private but service knot. Is this set looks OK?

The short KS98 was intended for NCOs and therefore should have a NCO Troddel. The longer blades were for EM and should have this wartime Heer Troddel. Having said that, these were private purchase so a Private could have bought a NCO bayonet. The green felt indicates Jaeger units in the Heer.

I've seen your impressive Krebs 2nd model Luft daggers, just having one of them would be something to be proud of.

Only 2 variant marks for CJK on fire bayonets & KS98s, so far as I've seen. I own fire bayonets with both marks & believe me, they are not common at all.

Thank you. Sorry for late reply but I have one more GOOD question. I saw a lot of short dress bayonets with not green-silver but regular EM troddel and I have one long blade dress bayo with NCO knot that was a direct purchase from the vet's family...So is the statement correct?

Yes, the short bayonets were supposed to be for Officers and NCOs while the long blades were for EM. Since these were private purchase bayonets (Extra-Seitengewehre) the soldier could buy what they wanted. There was no real way to enforce rules for private purchase bayonets worn off-duty as walking-out dress.
