I was just recently on there and wouldn't you know that one of the helmets that he has up for sale was my first lufty helmet. I couldn't believe my eyes, I had to go and get the notebook out and compare markings. I thought to myself this can't be, there was a specific two pieces in the exact same place missing from the Eagle on the decal along with two distinct marks on the outside of the shell. Looked at the liner, and then I knew it was mine because I accidentally ripped part of the liner in a specific spot while messing with it years and years ago. I have no idea how it wound up there but it is remarkable that I was able to find it again. I'm not sure how to feel about it. We all as collectors have those soft spots for our first items in our collection. I foolishly let it go at a gun show a long long time ago and traded it for a SA dagger. I'm tempted to buy it again, but I shelling out that kind of change is not practical at this point in time. But then again, when do you ever has a resurface of one of your first pieces? What would you do?

I would buy it based on the nostalgic feelings that you are expressing here.

I agree with John. If it has sentimental value then go for it. If you don't then maybe you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
