Hello Drimmer17, what I can see in these pics (they are not the best ones) I do not like how the rune-emblem is fixed in the grip and the pics are to small to make me able to see if the portepee is period or not.
There are a lot of necessary features (for a statement) which cannot be seen in these pics. Much more and better detailed pics would be necessary. But at first the degen for sure does NOT look beeing unmessed.

I am not comfortable with this one either. There are a lot of these made from parts of police swords floating around.

Before I could pass judgment on this degen I would need sword in hand or better pics. I agree along with the others that there are a lot of things that look funny but there are also things that look ok.

Real or not the knot wear does not match the condition of the sword or scabbard.

The fixture of the runes would make me run away.

Dimmer17, I am sorry but the additional pics donīt change my opinion concerning the emblem (see how a correct one attached looks like) which is one of the heartpieces of such a degen. Do you have the degen in hands or did you get only pics? If you have it in hands is the pommel removable?
