Hello, i am trying to find the orgin name or title of this ring..from what i can tell this is a post war knock off of a totenkopf ring i belive these were made in late 47-48 in the underground market as a subsitute deaths head ring built up from desriptions of the orginials since no actual ss rings were to be found.. ive heard name otto gahr attached to them.but otto gahr is only involved in the transtional to end phase of orginal rings ive seen discriptions of them as leibstandarte and panzer lassh ect ect every time i get close to finding one the disapear ..they usallly found with the my honor is loyalty and himmler sig plastred on the inside i belive their called flat band honor rings?any further information on these bizzare one offs?

yes it was a this wide band with a funny looking skull! Made by SRM years ago.. I might have a photo of it somewhere,,I'll take a look.. Really,,you should make a topic on the Honor Ring forum,,one of the guys might have a photo of it..

They changed their name a couple times ,,think they started out as 'Northstar'..
- 15 years ago or so they were a company selling good reproductions and fantasy pieces. I think the were the first to sell the infamous 'SS Cyanide container'. ..And, they used to sell that wide band HR. Weird looking thing,,I'll try and find a photo of it....

Yes they are very hard to find...lately my luck is severly stuck in proverbial rut ..i usally get within hours of one after auctions or listings end ... Ha! As always ..to most it wouldnt be intresting item..most would look at it as straight from gumball machine..but its peculiar design ..makes it desirable all on its own...even if it in no way resembles the orginal..i will keep hunting til i run one down and corner it for good!
