Hi guys I have a nice fixed bail helmet with a liner that has a 29th Infantry decal upon it and another decal that I can not identify....did the US use decals on their helmets during WW2? The decals have age and I can not scrape them off...also if someone can post the pic of the decal for me in hopes of identification it would be very much appreciated...thanks and cheers, Ryan rsellick@rogers.com

Also I can get more info from a friend of mine that was in the 29th. He was attached to the rangers. Was in normandy to the campaign in the Hurtgen forest where he was gunned down and sent to dachau. He was at the trials in Nuremberg for a day. I talk to him every week. He gets a kick out of it when I bring him german stuff to look at.
