I came across this pic while browsing the net. It shows a German soldier wearing a bayonet in a tropical frog. I can't recall ever seeing a pic of one being worn in the field.

A very nice photo of the web frog in wear. Notice that the Waffen-SS soldier is also wearing the later folding shovel. The narrow leather "skeleton" style frogs were also designed to be worn with this shovel.
