Note scabbard eagle, 2nd band on ferule, the ridge on the pommel cap and the lines on the HJ diamond and finally the way the rope comes together on the top scabbard fitting.  Compare these features to an original:

Hello, thank you for doing these pics for comparison. The first one is one of the older fakes, with very distinct features as eg. the pommel ridge and the eagle�s details. BUT the newer fakes are MUCH MUCH better and sometimes can only to be judged when holding in hands. So take care. But with some experience and practise you can detect even the better fakes. Here are pics of a better (but still NOT the best) fake. I don�t want to point out some minute details because as we know the fakers do read here too.
