Hello Guys...I am interested in this helmet...but not really sure the decal is correct.I have researched this, but can not find a photo of one being worn during that time,or one from WW2 Period.I have seen several Factory Police helmets,but not one from BMW.

Really not much information on them,however not sure if this is correct...I read these decals were worn on each side of the helmet.

Anyone have a period photo of one in use?? Whats your take please...it has zero bids starting @ 199.00

Looks to be fake , eBay has 100's of these types of decalled civil helmets , the helmets are $50 the decal $1 put the 2 together and voila $200 helmet , Rob

Rob...Thanks for the reply...I felt it was not good...I did a few hours of searching on the internet...and could not find anything on a Police BMW helmet...except for the fake decal web site...Have you ever seen a real one??

No , but there are real ones out there , you see fake Heinkel fake NSU fake Messerschmitt its such a simple thing to do to a cheap helmet . Rob

Sage words Rob, indeed. Sepp things have changed enormously since the Lowell shows back in the day. Overpriced authentic and ginned up fakes prevail, as well as the (expert) carnies that now sell them.. Almost not worth getting back into this hobby. GDC Gold badge 157. Even though I was under 100 members when I supported this forum. I remember when e-bay was the place to go. In a way the internet has put an end to straight dealing. Some of the best collections where herded by nefarious collectors ,post E- ban creating such an environment.
