Hello,
I'm really interested in reading your opinion about it
The dealer claims it formerly belonged to a LAH member and then SS-Junkerschule Bad Toelz commander in 1945.

Hm I am not sure, but i think i have seen this ring on a dealers site some days ago and wasn`t sure about. From the pics it looks as it could be a two piece one with soldered on plate. But in all cases i wouldn`t spend a lot of money in such ring

I see cast inscription. IMHO line is not seam between two pieces but line from rubber mold.

The 'engraving' IS cast in. I've seen it before on other postwar rings. As far as the seam,,most just look for a horizontal line around the ring but the counterfeiters can get creative and depending how cast can be anywhere. They really put a lot of work in the ring to try and make it pass.

Well guys, if someone about you can provide me an honest and universally accetable negative expertise about this ring, I'll be very grateful so that I'll be able to send it back to Herman Historica. I think that Mr. Hermann and his experts will thank you for your information. Thanks a lot. Val

GC., welcome here. So many things happen over time. This ring might have been with the lot for a long time. Just not from during war time! He could have gotten it anytime post war.
We have a lot of experience here on this forum. I've collected rings since the mid 1970s.. We have another here whos business is to make reproduction 3rd reich jewelry, and other collectors from around the world. I can offer only my opinion. That is not an engraving. That is cast in. Something not done by the Germans during the war. This exact pattern can sometimes be seen on reunion type rings. Another member here see's indication of the ring being cast. This member especially should know and I agree with him.
Will the dealer agree with us? I will bet not. We are nothing to him. I do not know if the ring was bought by itself,,or part of a lot. IF part of a lot and there's a lot there and everything else is satisfactory then don't worry about it. IF the ring was bought by itself a lone piece,,me? I'd return it, not something for my collection..
