It's got the back to back squirrels but no C.E. the C.E. is under the stag grip on the tang. All the pieces are numbered 14. I haven't seen one just like it. I think it's pre 1921 but I am not sure. It's in kinda rough shape should i have it cleaned? I'm guessing no. Anything anyone can tell me would be a help. Thanks

You have an Imperial pre-WW1 german forestry hirschf�nger made by the Carl Eickhorn company, a very simple pattern that shows a lot of honest wear, I suggest you do not clean it up, it is what it is now, value would be a few hundred dollars.

The number 14 are assembly numbers, that way the guy who put it together couldn't get parts mixed up.
