So today I got a chance to trade for something I've wanted for my son, his name is grant. I picked up volume 1 of grants memoirs, it's a first edition...has the correct markings, but there's a couple items I can't quite figure out...I wonder if any of you all can help? It has a stamped number, 12680, on the first white page...and a watermark "B" on the publisher page. I've heard that the number could be an owners mark, or print number...and I've not a clue about the B. I know there were many printed, and this was a green to blue 7 dollar cover version (the least costly). Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, Mike

hi mike merry christmas to you and family . im not sure on your grant book volume 1 haveing number 12680 might be a library number and the b mark could be for volume 1 and the a mark could be for volume 2 just a guess i could be wrong perhaps some one here has the right answer. i believe i have both volumes in my pennsylvania home library we can check them out in may 2015 maybe you could visit me around then we could do a little target shooting for the day and check out some rings and militaria that i have. safe and happy new year andy militarynut

Hey Andy, great to hear from you! Hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday! I can't think of anything I'd rather do than meet up with you up in 2015! Love to see those books, some rings, and perhaps hit some targets! The clays flew away on me yesterday, however...better luck next time I suppose! Thanks for the input Andy, hope to see you again soon! God bless, Mike
