Hello,
What do you think about this SA dagger for $500? is it worth for it with its hanger?
Thanks

$500 for an average RZM in decent shape with hanger is in the ballpark, I'd offer $400 in todays market though.

I see no problems with that dagger. An RZM dagger will usually look its best when you first purchase it and it must be kept in a low humidity environment as the crossguards literally corrode as it was plating over pot metal. For the price Doug mentioned above, it is a reasonably good buy.

The problem I see is you handling the blade with your bare fingers. cry

From what I can see no problems, fit looks good, all original.
Scabbard may or may not be a repaint, looks a little too pristine but tough to tell from what little can be seen, there are pristine scabbards out there. That would affect value [if repainted] but not by much.
As SD mentions, avoid handling blade. Like coins, they can soak up fingerprints which might take years to visibly manifest, once they do they are almost baked in. Should be lightly cleaned with a soft cloth and a little warm soapy water to limit contamination.
