A friend showed me this bayonet today. It had belonged to his late father who acquired it years ago while running a gun store here in So. Florida. I've never encountered this particular simple etch style before. A rare pattern? He asked me to make him an offer so what would a fair price be for this bird? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Please pardon the poor quality pics.

Thanks,
Len

This exact etch can be seen in Wayne Techet's book, German Etched Dress Bayonets, on page 205 (example A at the top of the page).

And, like this etch pictured here, it too is on a Peter Dan Krfebs marked bayonet.

This etch pattern would sell for $300-500 dependng on condition.

This version of the PD Krebs TM is not often seen.

I have another PD Krebs etched bayo with the traditional TM.
