The School is Potsdam (P) and Karl Burgsmuller - Berlin is the most common maker for NPEA daggers. The Motto "Mehr Sein Als Scheinen" looks ok. Scabbard should be all- steel painted in olive drab. This dagger is most likely a student dagger as there's no eagle on the grip.

Hallo oli1970, personally I would be careful in regard of this NAPOLA dagger. The font of the crossguard stamping for me does not conform to known doubtless originals - but it might also be the angle of the photograph. The scabbard lug does not conform to common BURGSMLLER pieces - but there are exeptions. The photographs are not the best, better and more photographs are necessary.
The blade etching especially the mm seems to be ok as seems to be the dagger itself with the aluminium crossguards. For me a controversial piece so as said better pics especially from the scabbard and the crossguard stamping are necessary.
Is the scabbard end magnetic?
I hope Ron Weinand jumps into discussion.

It would not be for my collection. A Potsdam this early would have the first style Burgsmuller trademark and the scabbard is wrong. You need to get my book "Waffenleite Presenting NPEA Daggers of the Third Reich" which I sell at a discount to members of this forum.
